Adding an agency partner to your Meta Business Manager (now Meta Business Portfolio) is easy – as long as you know where to click. Sometimes clients tell us they feel like Facebook sends them in circles (and sometimes it’s true!), so we created this straightforward guide on how to add an agency partner to your Facebook Business Manager account.
1 Navigate to https://business.facebook.com/
If you don’t have a Business Manager, this link will take you to the account creation screen. It’s important to note that there’s a difference between Meta Business Manager and Meta Business Suite. I like to tell clients to think of Meta Business Manager like an umbrella that houses all of your assets; underneath that umbrella is Meta Business Suite, your Facebook page, Instagram profile, ads manager, and so forth.
Pro-Tip: When creating a new Facebook Business Manager account, you have to wait a minimum of one hour before you can add additional users.
Ready to add an agency partner to your Facebook Business Manager account? Let’s get started:
2 Click the dropdown at the top left.
3 Next to your Business Manager name, click the settings icon.
4 Click “Partners.”
5 Click the blue “Add” button.
6 Click “Give a partner access to your assets.”
7 Click the “Partner business ID” field and enter your partner’s business ID (they should be able to provide this to you).
8 Click “Next.”
9 Select your page(s).
10 Toggle the “Everything (except sensitive actions)” field.
11 Click “Ad accounts.”
12 Select your ad account(s).
13 Toggle the “Manage ad accounts” field.
14 Click “Datasets.”
15 Select your dataset(s).
16 Toggle the “Manage events dataset” field.
17 Continue toggling through all the options on the left and repeat the process for each of your existing assets. Click “Save changes.”
