The Media Captain Loves #America

When traveling to new cities, often time’s people are enticed with historic landmarks and famous dining establishments. I’ve been traveling domestically for video shoots quite often over the past couple of months and pretty much only care about one thing each time I’m in a new location (aside from the finished video product of course). How patriotic is the current city that I’m in?

I judge the patriotism of each city by several factors:

  • How many American flags per square capita are present
  • If inside the local Outback Steakhouse, they hang the jersey of their nearby High School Football Team
  • When I ask for Beef Jerky at the gas station, the attendant inside replies with “Good Choice.”
  • People are wearing the lethal combo of jean shorts and a tank top
  • A Wal-Mart is conveniently located no more than five minutes away from any part of town

The hands down winner for most American city during my travel endeavors has been Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Below you will see the combination of awkward photos I’ve taken in front of American flags as well as some gorgeous American flags in their natural setting throughout the United States of America. Enjoy!

By far the largest American flag I found was in Myrtle Beach, SC! If you don’t already know, I love tanks.

An American flag inside a boxing gym. Pretty awesome if you ask me! Football + American Flag = Greatest Combo on Earth. Outside of Wall Street. Like I said earlier, I love tanks. This was the coolest shirt I’ve ever seen. #Urban I’m not sure if this is a graffiti or a mural, all I can tell you is that it is a beautiful piece of artwork! The new World Trade Center, which will be New York City’s tallest skyscraper!
