McDonald’s Perfects “Free Small Coffee” Promotion

In an effort to get more customers into its door, @McDonald’s decided to run a promotion to give away a free small coffee from March 31st, 2014 until April 13th, 2014. This campaign has already received tremendous exposure on various social media channels and will likely increase foot traffic into the iconic golden arch locations.

People have been tweeting photos of their coffee cups, which of course makes them a brand advocate for McDonald’s. For a company, having its customers promote the brand in an organic way is one of the most successful ways to spread the word about its business. Additionally, after stepping foot into McDonald’s for its free coffee, you better believe customers will purchase an Egg McMuffin and a hashbrown or some sort of breakfast combination.
